A masterpiece of poetry and illustration.
UNDONE, a title that evokes sensitive and touching poetry written by the Indian author Keith D'sa that I had the pleasure of illustrating and laying out. This 110-page collection immerses the reader in the intimacy of the author, through raw and moving words that reveal a heart wounded by homosexuality that is difficult to accept.
UNDONE is the story of a life that gradually unravels over the pages. An infinite loop that symbolizes the cycle of renewal and hope. It is a poetic work that tells a deep, touching, and moving story. The collaboration with Keith D'sa was done in English, but it is no less beautiful. Together we have created a book that is both a masterpiece of poetry and illustration. It is an invitation to discover a world made up of intense feelings and strong emotions.
I am particularly proud of this collaboration which allowed me to express myself as an illustrator fully. I was able to bring Keith D'sa words to life through my illustrations by creating a symbiosis between the two worlds.
I am convinced that this book will touch the hearts of many readers in search of authentic emotions and stories. Hoping that this collaboration can inspire other similar projects, I invite you to discover the poem "UNDONE":
Lost hopelessly in your eyes,
in your smile, I drew a word of pain,
and time itself.
The first rose of spring lips they speak
a language of their own, to your silence's melody
I dance till dusk.
The touch of your fingers, a moment shared
leaves me painting, begging for more.
The falling snowflakes burn me in your absence.
If only love could be undone.
